August 12th, 2010

A hiking paradise with a view of the Kander valley, glaciers and snow capped mountains.

Outview

The Kandersteg – Sunnbüel Cablecar brings you to the starting point of the hike to the Gemmipass.

Impressions

We start with a small downhill section direction Spittelmatte, a large, flat moor.

On the way, we encounter the small Arven lakes which are filled with melt water in the spring and which provide a beautiful and romantic view.

We continue direction Schwarenbach, where the path rises slightly.

Upon arriving, we can refresh ourselves in the Restaurant Schwarenbach and then continue on the path to the Daubensee.

Impressions

From the Daubensee we can already see the goal of our hike: the Gemmipass.

There is still a fairly steep climb but once we have arrived somewhat tired after a total of three hours of hiking, we will be charmed by the wonderful mountain countryside.

Experience it yourself, it’s worth it.
